I'm asking purely out of curiosity. READ: I do not think Dobbs should be replaced by anyone.
I was trying to think of specific examples of a freshman or sophomore quarterback starting over a talented, successful senior QB. Do coaches always base their decisions purely on who is the best or will they sometimes sit the better quarterback because the senior qb "earned" it?
EDIT:
Obviously experience plays a part and the Sr. has proven that he can be successful under the lights whereas the freshman or sophomore doesn't have that resume regardless of their natural ability. But do you give a Trevor Lawrence type QB who is superior in practice the nod over an experienced senior?
