Greetings from a rainy Lindsey Nelson Stadium. We thought this game could get washed altogether this afternoon, but the radar has cooperated thus far. Rain will be a factor tonight, but hopefully we get nine innings in before it gets too rough.
Tennessee aims to extend its program-record winning-streak to 20 games this evening. The Bisons stand in the way of that, having gone 15-13 thus far on the season with a 4-5 mark in ASUN play.
The Vols used only our relievers over the weekend, so there's more arms that need work than innings. Expect a new pitcher just about every inning with Blade Tidwell and Ben Joyce highlighting the bunch. Tidwell gets the nod, his first of the season, and we will see how long he goes. He allowed a run last week during the midweek after being greeted by a triple and double right off the bat. He rebounded with a pair of strikeouts and a pop out to escape further damage in the inning.
Last season, the flame thrower compiled a 10-3 record through 98.2 IP with 90 SO and a 3.74 ERA.
Lineup notes: Christian Moore is leading off and playing second. Seth Stephenson is the DH and batting second. Christian Scott is in left and batting eighth while Charlie Taylor gets the start behind the dish and will bat ninth.
