From what I understand Debord ran less of a pro and more of a singleback, zone-blocking scheme, space out attack with a lot of qb under center. I understand the zone read is a big part of our offense but am I wrong in thinking that his offenses were a lot more similar to ours than most people seem to think?
It seems to me like of all the things for him not to have in common the position of the qb and running responsibilities on his part would be easier to learn and implement than many of the other concepts that make up our offense.
If anybody knows more about this please tell me if I've got it wrong. This is just what I've gathered.
