i would hold a press conference and say I decided to not play in the bowl game. I would say that in lieu of the video that just came out, I don't believe it's appropriate to play. I'm truly sorry for my actions and I know I can never undo what I did, I do own up to them and want to be a responsible citizen. So I'm suspending myself from this game. I've embarrassed the school that gave me a chance and I owe them.
It would be a PR coup for him. He would make millions being the poster child of someone who felt he wasn't getting the fair punishment so he administers it himself.
His on-field resume is set. No more one game can do to make a difference. What has hurt him is the PR aspect. Teams will shy away and cost him money for what he did two years ago. This is not an important game for OU so they would benefit from the PR of having him do this. With all these guys bowing out of their bowl games i don't see where this would be a win-win for everyone involved.
