We know how to play together as a team. You can watch them, and see the unselfishness. The ball movement to the open shot from ANY player. That is the hardest thing to coach to younger kids (learning your roles on a team). These kids were all the best players on their respective teams, and the ball funneled through them. Now Barnes kids embracing their roles. I still play basketball every once and a while at a gym here in Knoxville, and here's what I compare it to. You get a group of 4/5 men who are 30+ in age, and who know how to play the game of basketball and accept their roles on a team. Hell, they can even be a tad out of shape. And you put them against 4/5 20-22 year olds who are in great shape, can jump out the, gym, do all this fancy stuff on the court. As an observer you see these two squads and you think these older men stand no chance at all, but once the game starts it's a slaughter. The young kids just dribble around. No screens. No ball movement. No rebounding. Nothing. While the older fat guys put on a clinic with passing and screens. I've seen it time and time again. It takes a complete team full of guys knowing and embracing their roles for a team to be fully successful, and I truly believe our guys are doing that.
