In Fulmer's 16 (and a half) years, he had 10 seasons where we lost more than 2 games...

For you reactionary imbeciles, try not to have a stroke until you've read my entire post.

In his third season, we had QB problems early and started the season 1 - 3. We lost to UCLA, got destroyed by Florida (0 - 31) and lost to Miss St. I think you could at least say that Kentucky is equal to Miss St and UGA the equal of 1994 UF.

My point is that we're just being ridiculous right now. Sure, the UK game was an atrocity, but sometimes things like that happen. The question is how does Pruitt respond. That '94 team, thanks in large part to a much easier schedule after the Alabama game (the kind of easy schedule we don't have anymore), finished 8-4. Fulmer, of course, started in much better shape than Pruitt, as Majors had left the team in a good position. If we transported our overly sensitive and reactionary fans from 2020 back in time to 1994, we would have screamed that Fulmer was going backwards and obviously not the man to lead the program. We would have said that he wasn't maintaining what Majors had built.

The reality is that unless you are extremely elite, you are probably going to have some bad losses every now and then. You aren't going to win every game you are supposed to. Even when Fulmer got it rolling again with Manning at QB (I think that helped a bit), he still lost to Memphis one year. Imagine a 90's UT team with Manning at QB losing to Memphis. It really happened. We might have won the national championship that year without that loss.

The point is that a lot of UT fans need to just calm down. You're embarrassing. This is a terrible year all around due to covid. We shouldn't even be holding the team to the normal standards, but even if we were, we're 2-2 after 4 games. It's not the end of the world. This is one major reason why it's so hard to win here. The fans are criminally insane and unreasonable.
