I've been thinking a 9-3 or 8-4 season all off season. Now as game week approaches, and the injuries at key positions are piling up, my usual optimistic self is even pumping the brakes.
7-5 is my absolute lowest point for satisfaction with this team. We desperately need a strong season to show progress. It hurts badly to lose Marcus Jackson and LaDarrell McNeil, not to mention Gaulden and possibly Croom too. Those are some serious losses. Our secondary has suddenly become thin, a ton of experience lost on the OL, and then Gaulden who was just coming into his own... I don't like it. I don't want to lower my expectations, but just being realistic, this is not a situation you want happening when the two biggest games of your season are in the first weeks of the season.
God, we need a little help.
