Injury timeout and substitution rules change

Obviously it has to happen….Every negotiation involves some give and take, though. What will be the compromise required in order to get the rule changed to disallow fake injury timeouts on every other play? There will inevitably be coaches who go back to the well in arguing that Heupel’s and Kiffin’s offenses put the defensive players at a higher risk for injuries and that those types of offenses need to be dialed back. Now, I think that’s a bunch of bologna, but you know it’s coming. We aren’t just going to get our way. The question is where will the middle ground be?
