I hope UT knew this was possible happening and had really good backup plans to replace him IF he bolts this late in the process
Part of the recruiting process is knowing who you're dealing with and what they really want and the type of person they are etc. Hopefully he stays committed....or Hopefully this wasn't a huge lapse by the staff on one of the very top targets in the country
This is why CFB needs to go straight to the NFL model and make players sign contracts and get rid of verbal commitments. It protects both sides and locks players in for 1-4 years (unless drafted or released/ paid). They are already getting medical etc. This way fans and staffs know who they have locked up to play for what time vs 1 year scholarships and verbal commitments that that don't teach players what commitment even is and how the real world works. I'm for players getting paid and having a professional process to help both sides.....the old method under the table and NIL is not that
