Looking at Arkansas, I have been really impressed with how they have come together as a team. Barry Odom has done a great job creating different looks in the secondary. They lead the country in interceptions.
They play fast on offense and are creating explosive plays.
For us in the open week, it was a great opportunity to go back to the basics which we did to try and catch some guys up. move some guys around to create some more opportunities for them.
On COVID testing and moving guys around...
Tested on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursdays. Results should come in any time now. Moved Key Lawrence to star to give him a look there to try and get some more production there. He could possibility get an opportunity there on Saturday.
More young guys...
Dee Beckwith is a guy who did nothing in the summer. Fall camp he's in quarantine then he injures his ankle. He has size and speed. Seeing more burst and speed out of Tee Hodge as he gets healthier. Whitehead hurt his shoulder last week and will likely need surgery in the next couple of weeks to get ready for the spring.
On QBs...
We repped three groups last week. We split the qb's among those three groups. Familiar with Franks recruited him when he was at FSU. Thought he played well at Florida. Won 10 games two years in a row there. He's played well at Arkansas.
On DL...
every play we need to be 4-6 inches lower than what we are playing with. Gotta play on the other side of the line of the scrimmage.
working the week with Tuesday being a day off....
For us it was pretty easy because we were off last week. Not much shake up. Today will be a Tuesday practice.
