What a great player. I used to laugh at certain points in UT games because you could see Josh heating up. "Josh is getting pissed off. He plays better when he's pissed off. Something special is about to happen." And sure enough, as often as not, it would. He always had that extra gear when he needed it. Now apparently he's learned to turn it on at will. Look out, NBA.
You know guys, one of the great things about sports is every so often you get to watch someone who is just a winner. They have that special something, a drive to excellence, that won't let them settle for anything less than their best. They may not be the best athlete, character and intelligence may vary, but aside from other aspects of their personality there's a formidable competitive fire in them that is visible in the way they compete on and off the field. they play like their lives depended on it, like they were born for this moment. I guess the word is "grit." They got a ton of grit.
They personify the old adage "He who won't be beat, can't be beat." You should never, never bet against these individuals in anything they endeavor to do in life, because they are stone winners. And a pure pleasure to watch.
We've been lucky to have a few that are Vols during my time as a fan and they are my all time favorites:
Peyton Manning
Raynoc Thompson
Chris Lofton
Josh Richardson
Who would you add to the list?
