The difference is the desire to get to the paint. Both offenses in this game look to go into the paint. Only if the three is open, are they taking it and often it is open because of aggressiveness on a break or a kick after someone drives to the paint.
If we drove to the paint half the times either one of these teams have today, we'd be in the Final Four talking about Michigan.
If this team wants to get to the next level, Bone, Bowden, Admiral, Lamonte, Pons, and Jalen need to spend the entire off-season thinking about getting to the rim. The three point shots will be there and even more open, but it needs to start with getting into the paint or feeding the post first. We have missed an historic opportunity this season akin to when the Vols dropped the SECCG to an LSU team that had no business beating us.
