The fact that we could not afford to have Kirkland and JRM out was the biggest issue. We have a number of scholarship linebackers on the roster. One had even moved to tight end. No excuse to have had that depth situation. Bad evaluations, recruiting and development. Sapp was the only other linebacker we knew that compete in the SEC.
