"Day 1 Top Performers
4. DE Matthew Butler (North Carolina)
Gerner, N.C. defensive end Matthew Butlerused his power to rough off offensive linemen on Monday. The 6-foot-4, 260-pound prospect was able to get in the backfield on a regular basis with more than a bull rush as he mixed in a few spin moves to change up his repertoire and kept the tackles guessing. Tennessee, N.C. State, Duke and other are in the hunt for Butler as he will announce his school of choice later this month.
Day 2
The Alpha Dog -- DL Matthew Butler (North Carolina)
After a strong day one, Gerner, N.C. defensive lineman Matthew Butler was dominant at times during day two. The 6-foot-4, 260-pound prospect played both nose guard and defensive end in North Carolina’s three-man front. Bulter made plays consistently from both positions, and took over a stretch during the morning scrimmage. In fact, Butler might have been the most disruptive on Tuesday while playing over the center.
Superlatives at the end of the week
Top Performer — DL Matthew Butler
Through three practices, the player that consistently made plays was Garner (N.C.) defensive lineman Matthew Butler. The 6-foot-4, 260-pound prospect, who is considering Tennessee, N.C. State and others, did damage on the edge as well the interior of the defensive line. Butler proved to be excellent against the run and was absolutely dominating at times during a portion of day two."
He dominated the entire week. I think we landed a good one.
