On Saturday, while on typical errands here in the Orlando area, I saw a sea of blue. Gator hats, visors, tank tops, flags everywhere to be seen. Caught a couple looks and a couple of jabs while wearing my new orange shirt. Got my typical texts "Hey, wanna put lunch on it?" etc.
Sunday, had to run out. Didn't see one shred of Gator gear anywhere. Saw some FSU, some Miami, one poor guy in a UGA hat, but in the last 48 hours the typical Gator fans have gone into hiding.
One guy I had a lunch bet with said "he didn't even watch the game"
Monday, went out for lunch. Same result. Ran into one of the lawyers in my building that's a huge Gator fan. He's wearing a black shirt. I asked if he was in mourning. Acted like he didn't understand what I meant.
I'll relish it while I can.
