1. Bunch of NFL experience which will help in recruiting.
2. Been an offensive line coach, which can help or offensive line struggles and OL recruiting. .
3. 40 years of coaching experience, and I'm sure he hasn't forgotten anything by stepping out of the game for a couple years. Probably refreshed and hungry again.
4. Butch Jones was his offensive coordinator at Central Michigan, which means he knows Butch's system, and they know how each other operate on and off the field.
5. Since he knows the system, this means we can have some continuity on the staff since the rest of the coaches know the system.
6. Continuity on the staff means we can keep Azzani, and have Debord mentor and mold him into the next offensive coordinator when Debord retires.
7. Azzani gets to learn from a National Championship offensive coordinator.
