People make mistakes and underestimate risks but now he’s telling everyone to stay at home and we have lost 10 M jobs.

he’s advocating a national shutdown until upwards of June 10th, while Cuomo is considering closing NY through the fall.

what is the science behind these recs? How reliable are the models? They have been disparate and way off on hospital bed predictions over the last few days but pretty accurate on other metrics

Does he understand the economic impact of what he describes as a “little inconvenience”.

Incredible infectious disease doc, but he’s over his skis on the impact to households and the economy.

we’re staring at an economic Armageddon.

I don’t have the answers but I think we need to re-evaluate the models and consider a quarantine of the highest risk population (elderly with comorbidities, immune compromised, etc) and get others back to work with masks and hygiene measures.
