Today is the final stage of a long road the past three months. I am finally having the surgery to fix a birth defect that has caused non-stop round the clock pain in my prostate. In the past three months, there've been 2 ER trips, 3 different specialists, 3 CT scans, 3 ultrasounds, a MRI and 2 cystoscopes (one of which I was put under).

Georgia Urology has been a God send to take on my extremely complicated case to fix this issue. I am extremely thankful for Dr. Fred Shessel and Dr. Scott Miller.

A big special thank you to my employer (GT Alumni Association), boss and co-workers who have been extremely flexible to take days off when the pain has been unbearable, supportive to check on me all the time and to let me go to all my doctor appointments & numerous tests. Their support has been a eye opening experience as yet another reason why there are truly the best place to work!

But most of all, I could not have done this with out my loving, patient and supportive wife Faustina Vélez McNeeley. She has been the rock to keep me sane and always looking at the brighter side. She has helped me keep the faith that everything is going to be ok and this will get fixed. I love you babe and don't know what I would have done with out you.

Now it's time to be put to sleep and let Dr Miller work his magic! See y'all on the flip side in a couple of hours!!

Side note - crazy that this will be my 9th surgery (overall; not for this particular issue) and I'm only 28 years old.
