I really think that just like the players, we as fans got a little ahead of ourselves with this team. This is a very good basketball team, but expecting a 1or 2 seed just wasn't and isn't realistic. This is a top 15-20 team which puts us as a 4 or 5 seed. Right where we belong, IMO. This team will go as far as our guards allow us to go. During that 9 out of 10 stretch the guards played great. Over the last few games they haven't played as well. Pretty simple. When we get good guard play we can beat anybody. When we don't you are going to see games like tonight. Is it frustrating at times? Yes. But my god some of you need to relax. This team was picked to finish 13th in the league and has a legit chance to finish as a borderline top 10 team and a 3 seed. Think about that for a second. This has already been one hell of a season and it has a chance to be even better. These are a bunch of kids that have worked their asses off all year and we should be incredibly proud of that. I'm not trying to tell anyone how to be a fan or whatever, but some of y'all really need to step back from the ledge. We have some things we need to improve on, but so does every team in the country. The constant overreaction and freak out during every game is becoming ridiculous. This is college basketball y'all. If you are looking for perfection every night then you are $#!+ out of luck. Let's quit the bitching and moaning and just enjoy this ride that's been a long time coming. I know some of you are incapable of doing that but I for one am going to enjoy this thing. Go Vols!
