#2 Tennessee vs #1 Memphis 2008: Tennessee becomes #1
This was February 23rd, 2008. I was there....hung out at the bar in the team hotel the night before and Bruce Pearl and Tony Jones came down and chatted with us and other fans for a while after putting the team to bed. Lunch at a Beale Street barbecue restaurant the next day at the table next to Reece Davis and the ESPN Gameday crew. Sat in a luxury box at the game that night full of Memphis fans and a had a celebratory drink at the Peabody bar with friends after the game ..
One of the best sports experiences of my life. Gee, I miss the days when Tennessee Basketball was relevant....
