Just found out that my Uncle Steve passed away a little while ago. He needed a new heart but couldn't get healthy enough for a transfer, and eventually was taken by infection.
Many of you may recall that a few months back we ran an auction to help raise money for his transplant procedure and health costs. We received quite a few generous donations from GQ members, and I'll always be grateful for that.
Steve was the oldest son of my Papaw, who passed away in March, almost six months ago today. Those of you who do so, please pray for my Mamaw and my mother. Losing the both of them in so short a span is a hard, hard blow. Steve also left behind a wife and a two-year-old daughter (even though he was 65! Man was a bona fide STUD!) who could also use the prayers of any so willing.
