I want to help an elderly family member with building their own home so they can move back to middle TN, but they aren't currently in a financial position to make that happen. In order to help them, I have a handful of questions revolving around land gifting, tax implications, and construction loans on someone else's behalf. Are there any people here that specialize in these topic areas - or are there any "go-to" people in the midstate area that come recommended?
I would like to follow up via DM to ask some detailed questions to really dial in what my options are (I have done some initial level "google research", but that hasn't really answered my specific questions). I am currently living in Houston and my family is in middle Tennessee, so I would prefer to talk to someone in middle Tennessee opposed to out of state (for any Tennessee specific laws surrounding these topics).
