So, the wife and i live in west Knoxville and have always had charter. I generally call every year and threaten to leave and they bring my cable back to my current rate. We hover around 170 bucks for internet and their silver package which includes everything except epix and starz.... so we currently get hbo and the others... cutting the cord is something i hear alot about but am not sure ill save much...

There are so many options out there... sling, roku, apple tv, hulu, netflix, amazon, etc...i am rather confused as to what we would need. Obviously, we need internet which im sure charter will jack up once i cancel my cable.... i currently have netflix and have amazon prime... thus, those are already in place. However, we must keep hbo for game of thrones for the final season and have to have the sports channels for upcoming football season. Can anyone give me the crash course on the right way to do this or should i stay put?

Thanks!
