I just looked at the stats to see where our D is ranked this year after someone posted the progression since 2011-ish in another thread. In doing that, I also too a look at the total offense rankings. I do not intend this post to denigrate what we just accomplished against Kentucky, which was a dominant win that was beautiful to see, so try not to have your jimmies rustled too much by me posting this as a reminder to keep things in perspective. These numbers are what they are, take them as you see fit.

We are currently 113th in total offense, and have averaged 5.50 yards per play.

Link to NCAA stats page:

Looking at the offenses we have faced in our 5 wins:
UK is 112th
Charlotte 124th
Auburn 98th
UTEP 125th
ETSU is an FCS school

That is simply some perspective to keep in mind......and it looks like Missouri's offense is 17th and Vanderbilt is 79th (Florida 69th, Alabama 4th, Georgia 23rd, South Carolina 64th, West Virginia 12th)

Also, in looking at this list, Utah State stood out to me immensely, as that is the alma mater of my wife and multiple in-laws. Check out the crazy stats of their sophomore QB, who is 6'4" 225 lbs and out of California. Might need to check out their game against Preston Williams and CSU this weekend. Their only loss is the season-opener against Michigan State that they almost won.
