People who are saying this is a lazy hire or that Butch doesn't want to get better are crazy. Any coach that is willing to call up a 4 Star defensive end and tell him there is no longer room in the recruiting class is ALL IN for winning.
Whoever Butch hires may or may not work out but you can bet one thing; Butch will hire who he thinks gives him the best chance to win. How could anyone look at his work ethic and what he demands from everyone in the program and then think he would phone in a coordinator hire is beyond me. Some posters are upset because they are worried he is not listening to reason. I would actually be furious if Jones let any amount of public sentiment impact his hiring decisions.
