He’s 14 with no known health problems. This Tuesday will be 2 weeks since he started running a fever. It’s usually low grade (99.5 - 100) but occasionally will get up to 101. We took him to an urgent care the day after he started running the fever and they tested him for strep and flu. Both negative. Didn’t test for Covid because he had Covid just 4 weeks prior to that. Said to drink fluids and take fever reducers if necessary. A week later we took him to his family physician and he saw the nurse practitioner. They did the same tests again but added Covid and mono. Gave him antibiotics. All tests negative. This Friday we took him back and he saw the dr. More bloodwork, nasal swabs and chest X-ray. We hope to get results tomorrow or Tuesday.
he has no other symptoms and thankfully has felt ok. When it spikes to 101 It drags him down some. I’ve never experienced this long of a fever with my kids. Just getting very concerned.
