Without a doubt 1 of the 2 best WRs in the world. Probably with Davante Adams as the Top 2. Kupp just put out one of the best years of any WR in NFL history. Obviously the game has changed a lot but he was incredible all year.

In a world where we often get caught up in physical freaks with height, 40 times and verticals etc.

NFL Combine for Kupp in 2017:

Height- 6'1
Weight- 204
40 time- 4.62
Vertical- 31

So the traditional stats were not eye popping at all. In fact most fans would consider him slow based on that 40 time. (Shows you how truly fast it is to run a 4.4 or 4.5 at the combine). Vertical was fine but not "explosive".

BUT

Shuttle- 5th overall WR at combine
3 cone- 6th overall for WRs

For reference there were over 60 WRs at the 2020 NFL Combine.

These are stats that fans don't really have access to for HS WRs that coaches get when they work guys. I think typically these are more important than what 40 time a guy lays down. The shuttle and cone drills are much more applicable to WRs and football players than a straight line 40 in tights IMO.

I was thinking about Tennessee Wide Receiver recruiting when I got down this rabbit hole. Doesn't mean much but I thought it was interesting as Cooper Kupp destroys professional football players.
