The previous Thread asked the question for a poll "Which Team do you Hate More" Bama or Florida. I answered Florida because the term hate was used (I prefer dislike). I don't know many Florida fans but the ones I have encountered in my life I recall no fondness for or accommodation. The all seemed to need a large dose of humility. And they seemed to deny that the SEC played football before 1990.
On the other hand some of my best relationships have been with Alabama fans and graduates - all very classy and knowledgeable. I cannot speak well about their bandwagon fans but I cannot wait until we win enough to get them too.
What has been your experience?
If the question would have been which team would you want to beat
? With out hesitation - Alabama. I respect them and take great pride in the rivalry and I can recount every win over Bama in my lifetime. (I am 60 and saw my first game on TV in 1967) I recall the victories over Florida as well but they felt more like vengeance than glory.
My puppy Kramer is only two so he is waiting on his first win over Bama. But he saw us beat Florida and dined on fried Gator that night so he is looking forward to this year as well.
