Any fellow Vol fans gonna attend any games this weekend? The Vols play LSU tonight at 730. Weather looks like it could be an issue today/tomorrow, so I'm sure the situation will be fluid. I'm thinking about checking out a game or two this weekend. I know this is the premiere conference in the country for softball, so it should be quite entertaining. I've never been to Hoover for the baseball tourney, but heard nothing buy great things about it. I'm hoping Knoxville puts on a great show for the conference. I'm guessing the SEC goes to a different school each year? Seems odd, but whatever works. Once every 14 years is better than nothing I guess.
I know Knoxville isn't seen as fit to host NCAA basketball games, so this is a little interesting. Not saying the crowds will be comparable (honestly have no clue), but there are 12 schools in town for this event. I know it's a pipe dream, but I'd just love it if the SEC tourney went to Nashville & was played in the Sounds stadium. It just makes way too much sense. Or any minor league stadium near schools. I know the 2015 ACC Baseball tournament was played in Durham at the famous stadium featured in the movie. They've also discussed played the tournament in Myrtle Beach at the Pelicans stadium & having a more 'destination' style tournament with the hopes of increasing attendance. I have no clue how the SEC Tourney attendance has been, but I'd think there has to be some more appealing options that Hoover, Alabama. It's not like it's centrally located to other schools. Nashville just makes way too much sense. Or Tampa. The SEC basketball tourney has been played down there. Much better city. The Yankees have a top notch facility there. Just my two cents for the day. Go Vols
