On the way home from the office one evening this past week, I heard Floyd Reese (Former Titans GM) discuss the QB situation with the SEC. Floyd said that in the 2016 season, the SEC was hurt because it lacked good QB play. As a result, he said that only one team in the league could overcome poor QB play and vie for the national championship (Alabama). I love what Floyd brings to the radio discussion. He has some very interesting views that I wish more people outside of middle Tennessee could hear.
Reese went on to say that the QB play in the SEC this upcoming season is much improved, but that the QBs are still very young and that only one team is still capable of overcoming poor QB play and vie for a national championship (Alabama).
As these young guns mature and begin to blossom, we could see Bama's hold on the SEC come to an end. Good QB play has a way of lifting your team and improving your team.
Looking at the SEC's "Young Guns". Is there a QB, who you see stepping forward to carry their team?
Which QBs stand out in your mind?
