Spring games and what the NCAA should do

These spring games are a joke and coaches hold their breath that nobody gets hurt, but feel obligated to brag about how many fans they can get to watch this silliness while either showing the starters beat up on walk ons or risk one side of the ball look terrible all while worrying that other teams are scouting their plays.


What I think should happen is that teams should be allowed to set it up as a practice/scrimmage against another team. Shouldn't be an actual game at all. Should have receiver/db 1 on 1's, OL/DL one on ones.........some skeleton 7v7 type passing game stuff. Could have some sprint competitions. Kicker competitions. Would be far more entertaining and actually more telling to have other athletes from another program to compare your guys to.
