Yesterday SOS did what everyone expected him to do all along after using 4 QB's all camp long, and named Connor Mitch the starter. Mitch has more experience than any other on the field with 6 passes and 2 completions for 19 yards. No other has ever thrown a college pass. Bottom line, no experience at QB.

It was obvious that Spurrier was using the position "it is up in the air" to motivate Mitch who has not had the best work ethic in the past, but in this case it was more. Mitch or any of the others never separated themselves from the others and in two scrimmages, and Mitch threw 3 interceptions.

The chicken OL has a couple of good, not great starters, but may very well be relying on true frosh as starters too, or at least as backup. And those freshman are not like what we have either. Recruiting at SC jr has been OK, but not close to the level necessary to be an east contender.

Outside Pharoh Cooper there is little in the receiving corps and again a freshman will be the #2 guy at this point. Look for Spurrier to rely more on tight ends than in the past. They have two good running backs but I can't see that line opening big holes on a consistent basis, and if they cannot get some kind of passing attack they could be in real trouble--which I think they are.

UNC is going to prove to be a tough game for the chickens.

It is so good to be talking about another team like this. I'm ready for the Real UT to step forward and put all those dumpster fire coaches and seasons way back in our rear view mirror.
