I'll be heading back to campus for the OU game for the first time since last football season and was wondering what I can expect as far as traffic and hopefully improvements. Am I correct in that they have started construction on the strip? Is it something minor like adding a turn lane or are the talks of upgrading the strip into a pedestrian friendly, bar and restaurant friendly area of Knoxville actually true and already happening? I like arguing with my Bama and UGA graduate friends about academics, sports, etc... but this is one topic where I just have sit back and give them props, that area needs serious changes.
