As posted earlier,’pick and roll coverages are poor, defense against the corner 3 has been atrocious, and the lack of the ability to go inside on a true big man with your own is showing cracks in the Vols’ armor.
Schofield has to get his mojo back for this season to play out as we hope it will. Way too much iso offense with Grant. The others have to pull their weight on offense. Vandy’s defense wasn’t exactly stifling, and the Vols tendency to allow the extra pass down low for a jam was embarrassing.
All of the above is fixable, except having a truly big man in the paint.
