No one will ever confuse me with a liberal apologist but Cuomo was in a no win situation here.

That was their home. They needed to go home if they were well enough to go home. A hospital is a great place for someone to get sick, especially the elderly.

They had to go back to the nursing homes and the nursing homes had to do all they could do to protect their patients realizing that many times the best isn't good enough.

I don't think this particular thing falls on him although there are plenty trying to blame him.

Their hospitals were full. They live on top of each other packed in with tamping rods. They are in a nursing home for a reason, because they can't be cared for at home. Where else were they supposed to go? Maybe open Covid only nursing homes? What is the logistics like with that? Imagine lots of lost records and things in that situation.

No matter the situation you can always think of something "better" after the fact but that's just not something that could have been helped IMO at least with the info I have seen so far.
