Hey guys, a few comment from newly committed LB Terrence Lewis. Austin was going to go further in depth with himn but this is what he had to say in the moments after his announcement.
On why he picked the Vols
“I had a good relationship with the coaches, especially [Brian] Niedermeyer. I like them because they have always recruited me no matter what. I just liked how we clicked. Plus, I’ve already been there and I know how it is and how it looks. I like it.”
On his previous visit to Knoxville
“We stayed there for a long time. It was one day, but we stayed for a long, long time. It was fun. They took us around the weight room and around everything else. I just fell in love with it.
On how he fits in the Tennessee defense
“I’ll be at linebacker -- outside and inside -- but also Coach [Derrick] Ansley has plans to use me for other things too. They want to use me all over -- everywhere.”
On which school finished second
“Nebraska. I have teammates there and more teammates going there this year. I have my people there, so they finished second.”
On visit plans post Covid-19 crisis
“I am for sure going back to Tennessee for an official visit. I actually plan to take all my officials but we hopefully have summer trips coming up with my coach. We are going to LSU and Alabama and all that SEC stuff. I might also go up north if I can because I want to check out Penn State and Ohio State too.”
