come from the long drought and disappointments UT fans have experienced for too long and for the first time in years we have realistic reasons to be optimistic about this season. The hype and expectations were sky high. Look back at the pre game posts and the excitement and anticipation were palpable. We had pre season concerns about Dobbs passing, the OL and the depth of the DL. But we wanted to believe that these were corrected and that we could trust the coaching staff. Unfortunately eggs were laid all over the field, but especially in the total coaching in fall camp, game plan, and in game adjustments. Add to that the feeling that many of us have that this is going to impact recruiting, which lagged last year and is lagging this year in overall quality.
As a result, long time fans are frustrated, disappointed, pissed, and angry. Apathy is the opposite of love. I have been a life long Vol fan and hold two degrees from UT. I can enjoy other teams but I only bleed Orange. I can hope they do better next week and the rest of the season, but I have very bad vibes about Team 120 and their preparation for this season. I am still angry and disappointed. I don't want to become apathetic.
