That's why I don't think he can afford to take a chance on ANYONE that has never called plays before. He has to make a home-run hire, especially with a new AD coming in and I thinks he knows he will be on a very very short leash (think Fulmer/Clawson or Dooley/Sunsari from a few years ago).
The program needs some new energy and if Scott AND Azzani leave so be it...I think Wells to OL coach makes a lot of sense but Butch has got to let his new OC drive the offense, period.
Same on defense where several changes (db and lb) will hopefully take place soon.
