This is what many of us have. We have wounds, and it is affecting our view of this next game. The Bowling Green game had Sunseri vibes all over it. We are scared that we are about to see Bray, Hunter, Patterson part II. An offense that can score, a defense that is hopeless. Even though our roster on D is clearly better, and we have last season to reflect on and assure ourselves, our past wounds make it hard to trust or be hopeful, regardless of what logic might say. I think this game is much better on the defensive side than my fears suggest, but my fears remain nonetheless. Skepticism can grow over time, and that has clearly happened to our fanbase, thanks to some bad breaks, bad coaching, among other things. I am hoping we finally have a chance to be cured with a big time W. I go into this game skeptical yet hopeful in our young team pulling out a significant win against a quality opponent.
