Money was raised for an Indoor track facility which is the BIGGEST need to have a successful overall track program at UT. I was told that over $600,000 was raised for an Indoor track facility and Hart and the present track coach used the money on the renovation of the existing Tom Black track. The present track and field athletes have to schedule time to use the Indoor football facility AFTER the football is through using the facility. ( You saw Coleman run in the football facility when he was timed) Until UT has an Indoor Track facility , which ever other SEC has, UT will have a poor track and field program. Former track members are very upset that the money raised was not for an Indoor track facility.
