When we have motion in our backfield it holds the defense up just enough to help the OL.. When we don't and attempt to play head to head we get wrecked by the other teams DL.
Happened last year. When we had motion and could freeze the DL and LB just a lil bit we had time to operate. Without it, we get wrecked.
OL still isn't good enough to blow people back straight up.
Jack Jones and Chance Hall were missed last night. They did better as true freshman on the right sided of the line than anything we saw last night. Have no idea what Coleman's issue was on getting trashed by some midget DT.
The "Vanilla" approach and just handing the ball off didnt work and was a bad approach to the game by the coaching staff. First time in awhile I thought we simply got outcoached for the most part. Appy State scheme was better than ours last night.
