I know the title of this thread is stating the obvious but this WILL BE THE REASON we turn it around whenever that may be. We can changes coaches 100 times but as long as we are running JG's and Miltons out there we will suck. Even Dobbs wasn't as good as we need. We were better with Dobbs but most of you guys have forgotten Dobbs was not capable of winning the big one. He had a zillion times more talent around him on both sides of the ball than we have now. (Reeves-Maybin, Sutton, Kamara, Hurd, plenty of stud receivers.) He also chocked it up big against South Carolina and Vandy there at the end. What is overlooked is the talent he had around him. I sat in the stands game after game and watch Dobbs be a 1 read guy to the middle of the field and continually over throw outside the hashes. Put Dobbs on these current teams and he struggles too.
We have to have a very accurate QB or get lucky and get a 2 way star. We know for sure we Milton and Hooker and neither of the 2. Bailey seems to be pretty accurate and can make reads. He is our best chance with development in the end.
Again......I don't care what coach we have .....we will never win again until we find a really good qb. Name a low talented team at any level that wins without one?? I was really hoping Heupel was the guy that was going to develop our guy, but it is disappointing so far. I know it is early but still.
Whenever we finally make a comeback...qb play with be the reason. Until then....more of the last 10 years. Mark it down.
