Probably couldn't even name 5 in college and pro combined. If we hired Jim Bob Cooter here 2 years ago, I could only imagine the board that day.
I don't know if Canales is a good hire or not. Only time will tell. I do feel better about the hire given the angst I've seen on the board here.
The funny thing is all the people saying "Butch is putting his job on the line with this hire". Yeah, he was putting his job on the line with any hire he makes this year, be it QB coach or DB coach or OL coach. If his team doesn't perform, I doubt anyone would say "Well, he made good hire in Weinke so it's not Butch's fault".
