IMO every SEC game is a type of trap game, especially SC. Even though SC is a terrible team, we have so far played to the level of our opponents, and it has taken some breaks for us to be where we are. If these injuries continue and we do not start getting guys back, then the talent level is beginning to level out. We failed in another comeback effort at T&M by shooting ourselves in the foot, reloading, and firing again--hitting ourselves each time. We all know what happened last week.

We dang near blew it last year against SC until we recovered the fumble, but they were driving on us for a late winning score, or at least a tie. SC will be favored in two more meaningless games. They will not go to a bowl. About the only thing that will salvage a season is a signature win for Muschamp, something he can point out in recruiting, just like Butch did. BTW, his recruiting sales pitch is exactly what Butch used.

All summer the talk was about the 4 games we just went through. Will there now be a let down? We are going to be favored in our remaining games but this is a team that can lose focus, and if we do, we probably do not see a perfect run. I am hoping that the SEC east title will be incentive but who the heck knows. I remember in November when Fulmer was at his peak, and the "easy" part of the schedule was on us, we often seemed to get bored and complacent. We had a great November record, but we were so much more talented that Vandy, Kentucky, etc. Many of those games were closer than they should have been.

Winning out is no gimme, not with injuries and the unknown mental factors. Don't get ready to play and see what happens. Just ask the Dawgs how their Homecoming went.
