Would a possible future firing of a coach dictate the choice for AD?

I guess there are two avenues of thought here. Do the powers that be want a guy to actually fix this mess quickly, even if it comes to letting a staff go? OR...do they want a guy that is more casual and tends to let things play out longer than they should to keep the coffers stocked.

I imagine going back in the hole monetarily for a new staff is not appealing to those in power that don't care about football...and is appealing to those in power that do. And from what we've been told in the past, the board is a mixed bag.

The choice for AD and the freedom given to him in the coming months will truly tell a deeper story as far as the direction of the university, financially and culturally.
