We all know that post spring there will be additions and subtractions. We're all frustrated that we haven't already added more help, mad that it looks like we're going to self impose a loss of 10 scholarships, probably further reducing the chances for additional significant help. It is what it is. So, let's talk, spring/fall, what we do have now on D.
SDE- Baron. No one else behind him. Can Eason help here? We'll add someone from the portal. Bank on it. Is the TCU portal kid, Ochaun Mathis, interested? The HS kid Jayson Jenkins could add future depth if he commits.
RDE- Young, Harrison. 2 talented FR coming in this summer but you really can't expect much help from FR in the SEC especially on the DL.
DT- Thomas, Bumphus, Garland. Does Bailey contribute?
DT- Simmons, Terry, Eason. Does McNeil contribute? Again, 2 incoming FR that will probably Redshirt. Does Solomon return? He went thru SR day.
MLB- Mitchell, Beasley, Garland. If Mitchell does return, has his mind right, and post injury, can return to his TX form, we'll be much improved. Willis and Herring need to develop fast.
OLB- Banks, Page. Banks will be a star. I'm sure the staff will look to add a LB in the next wave of portal entries. Mohan and Perry need to develop fast.
NB- Slaughter/Turnage. We should be ok here. There will be a drop off, but hopefully not a lot.
CB- Hadden, Rucker. Harrison coming in this summer. We'll look for a portal CB.
CB- Burrell, Williams. We need the Juco to be a stud. Can Fields help at all?
S- McCollough, Charles. Hopefully Charles shines in the spring. Thomas will be a FR. Does Labruzza return for year 6?
