Lampley mentioned there are not many Mid-State guys UT is currently interested in but he is trying to figure out which ones they want so he can help recruit them.
Knox and Otey both stated CJP told them areas they need to work on which appeared to be appreciated by each player. They also stated he wants to evaluate them more so asked that they attend a UT Camp. They both stated CJP wants them at UT but it sounds like this Coaching Staff is not sold on the 4 Star ratings for all of the Mid-State players and they need to see them in a summer camp.
In the past, if you have 4 stars beside your name UT wanted you no matter what but it appears this group understands TN HS Football is a couple of notches below GA and FL so they are spending a lot of time evaluating each player...losing In-State talent will create a lot of moans on this board but there will be a decent number lost that UT did not really go after hard.
