It may be impossible to sort through all of the rumors and rumblings coming from Rocky Top over the next few weeks, but after losing to Georgia in the worst possible way, there has to be some real chatter coming soon from within Butch Jones' program. Either the coaches and players will unify and not want their fingerprints on this or there will be some who start pointing to the probem(s). In my opinion, you can't lose this big without a major division from within the team. Obviously there are problems. The opposition to the coach will step forward now and declare themselves; subtly, subversively , or directly.... But it will happen. It will essentially make it impossible for Butch to right the ship in the short term and he has no loyalists remaining by my count. No Dave Hart, No Jake Bajakian, No Mike Debord, No Steve Stripling, No Don Mahoney, No Dave Lawson. All of those guys would have stayed on course with the infallible approach.
Suffice to say John Currie won't be shy to speak, if not just out of obligation. He does not have to stay the course.
Now there are 3 coaches who have been former head or interim head coaches in Brady Hoke, Larry Scott, and Mike Canales. That's 3 guys I would be expecting to distance themselves on or off the record.
Then there is Beard, Wells, and Thigpen who may want to be looking for a new gig. So the word will get around about their sentiments.
Stoops, Warren, Gillespie seem like they would remain above that level. But can they unify the staff and team?
