1. Taking his OV this weekend to FSU. That's awful early, IMO
2. Both Butch and Gillespie were at his school on Friday. For one, Butch has been pretty darn good when he's put in that much effort on a kid. Secondly, if Akers were a lost cause I don't think Butch would've spent his bye-week Friday down there.
3. The Gillespie relationship is our ace in the hole here. Pretty clearly no other staff has something like that. Might not win out in the end, but IMO it's still big.
4. The fact that Willie Gay (who is also taking an OV to FSU this weekend) decommitted from OM makes me think that the coming sanctions and terrible season are going to be a huge factor for them instate. And that they will be less of a factor in this recruitment
5. Article says OSU and LSU are likely to receive OVs but that nothing is set in stone. Even if they did, that would leave 2 more between us, UGA (don't see it), Bama (maybe), and OM.
@P_Fortenberry hearing anything from the Butch/RG visit there and likelihood of us landing one of those OVs? Have you talked to him since the Bama game?
