Vol fans,

Like many I sat in astonishment during the Appalachian State game last Thursday. It was one of those games that you sat, and it continued to go on without anything significant happening. By the end of the 3rd quarter I began to prepare myself mentally for the loss. Thankfully they were able to pull out the win, and point to the Battle of Bristol.

Nothing too profound here, but I think one of three things happen this weekend.

A) We come out and play exactly how we did against App St. Poor offensive line play, barely any shots taken on offense, and sloppy overall play with turnovers and a lack of execution. In this scenario we will lose to Va Tech

B) We play solid, and find ways to go back and forth in this game vs. a Virginia Tech team that we don't really know much more than good innovative defense, and decent run game, highly touted Juco QB. If we play solid and take care of business, I believe we win, even if it is close.

C) The Vols use all the bad mouthing of this team isn't going to live up to expectations, and being dropped eight spots in the AP Poll as motivation. Come out guns blazing and beat the doors off of Va Tech on national television.

See you all in Bristol,
